Money and Feng Shui

My husband and I became curious about Feng Shui recently. The custom and culture surrounding this ancient wisdom is fascinating. What I like most about Feng Shui is its focus on balance. The key to a satisfying life is to create balance in your life and environment. I believe this practice is important whether you are balancing colors in a room or balancing your budget. No one can ever be happy on a budget diet for too long, nor will their life work if they always spend to excess. Your financial life needs to have good Feng Shui or easily translated – balance.

In addition, Feng Shui offers up some interesting tidbits of ideas to help ensure you have good fortune in wealth. As most of us know, the key to success is hard work with some good luck thrown in. Feng Shui concepts help to ensure that good luck will come your way.

If this all sounds interesting to you, I recommend you read further on the subject. However, in the meantime… try some of these tips below to bring more luck into your wealth sectors!

1. Always keep the toilet seat cover down (of course, except when you are using it). Feng Shui believes that all your good fortune will be flushed down the toilet if the empty bowl is left uncovered.

2. When working, have pictures that inspire you and remind you of your dreams and goals in front of your desk. Mountain scenes in particular are supposed to be key pictures to have in front of you while working.

3. Paint the front door of your house a vibrant color. This encourages good fortune to find its way into your home. Red is the most common color to choose in Feng Shui for a front door.

There are many more tips to use for increasing your luck. Find a good Feng Shui book or designer to learn more.
