More Cause Celeb—Anderson’s Selling Her Viper and Ford’s Saving the Tiger

Not again…

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) poster girl Pamela Anderson is once again making headlines for her unique approach to raising funds for the animal rights charity.

Yes, the buxom “Baywatch” babe, who is now fully aware that the fashionable sheepskin boots she wore for decades actually came from real live sheep, is on her soapbox once again.

This time she is encouraging animal lovers to follow her lead and rummage through their homes, sell unwanted items, and give the money to PETA.

The actress turned magician’s helper recently held a huge estate sale at her Malibu, California home, clearing out her unwanted possessions and donating the money to PETA. But, the blonde star says she has one last item to auction off later this month—her prized Dodge Viper car. The customized vehicle is reportedly worth in excessive of $80,000, but Anderson insists she is happy to be getting rid of it, claiming it was too dangerous for her to own such a powerful automobile.

Anderson told reporters, “I’m a terrible driver. It’s just not a good idea for me to have a Viper.”

While Anderson tries to unload her car to help needy animals around the world, actor Harrison Ford is out to save the tiger.

The “Indiana Jones” star was in Washington, D.C. on Monday teaming up with the World Bank to promote conservationism.

According to reports, Ford is just one of dozens of celebrities who will be lending their names and faces to a new campaign designed to highlight the desperate plight of the endangered tiger.

Actress Bo Derek and actor Robert Duvall are among the other stars lending their support to the World Bank’s initiative for tigers.

Duvall told reporters he has always been a huge tiger fan, saying the big cats are, “the single most beautiful animal in the world.”

The World Bank’s new initiative will reportedly focus on thirteen countries where tiger poaching threatens remaining populations in a bid to convince governments and legal officials to step up efforts to outlaw the killing of the endangered cats.
