More Treasury Fun

nancyWhen was the last time you got a whole lotta fancy on a frugalista’s budget?

Right now you can gift your favorite young reader with a double dose of Fancy Nancy treasuries without breaking the bank.

Best-selling author Jane O’Connor teams up with ultra-talented illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser to once again take youngsters on a resplendent ride to Fancyville.

At the helm of the grandiose getaway is the one and only Fancy Nancy.  The girl with the vibrant vocabulary and whimsical wardrobe is back in Fancy Nancy Storybook Treasury.  The sturdy hardcover book features six stupendous stories filled with teachable moments:

Fancy Nancy and the Late, Late, LATE Night–You pay when you play.  It’s a lesson Fancy Nancy learns the hard way when she stays up well past her bedtime the night before a busy day at school.  See what happens when fatigue sets in shortly after Nancy takes her seat.

Fancy Nancy:  Pajama Day–It’s PJ Day at school and Nancy is set to show-off her fanciest nightgown.  Unfortunately, fancy doesn’t always equate to practical, especially when you love to hang upside down on the monkey bars.  Find out how Nancy overcomes a major wardrobe malfunction in this topsy-turvy tale.

Fancy Nancy Sees Stars–Fancy Nancy’s class is prepping for a trip to the planetarium, only Mother Nature has other plans for the pint-sized stargazers.  The story’s dramatic ending may inspire your young bookworm to look for the silver lining when gray clouds roll in.

Fancy Nancy and the Delectable Cupcakes–The art of being a good listener is examined in this relatable story which incorporates young siblings, a hungry dog and fancy cupcakes.

Fancy Nancy:  The Show Must Go On–What does a man-eating lion, spoon tricks, and a fancy ringmaster costume have to do with a lesson in cooperation?  Find out in this silly story that will have kids roaring with delight.

Fancy Nancy:  The Dazzling Book Report–Leave it to Fancy Nancy to make an ordinary book report extraordinary.  There’s more than meets the eye in Nancy’s extravagantly decorated story summary, but not all of it is good.

You get all six of the aforementioned adventures under one cover for roughly $12.  That comes out to less than $2 per story.  In addition, young page turners can also peruse glossaries filled with the stories’ fanciest vocabulary words and ogle over intricately drawn illustrations featuring eye-popping details that seemingly come to life on their own.
