Of course, the best time to read up on breastfeeding is while you are pregnant, so that you can be ready to nurse your baby when she arrives. One great resource that I have used to answer many of my breastfeeding questions is the Kelly Mom website. For the first couple of weeks after my first son was born, we had a little bit of difficulty getting started with breastfeeding. I turned to the Kelly Mom web site and found tons of great advice. I was able to implement the suggestions that I found, and before long, Dylan was nursing like a champ. I also visited the site again when I became pregnant with our second child and wanted to learn about nursing through that pregnancy.
The web site has great information that expectant mothers can use to prepare themselves for breastfeeding, including advice on what tools and supplies you will want to have on hand and ideas for how fathers can support nursing mothers as part of a parenting team. You can also learn about things that you may want to know down the road, such as nursing during pregnancy and how to increase milk supply.
