Oprah Counsels Rihanna and Jimmy Kimmel is Alone Again

Oprah, herself a victim of physical abuse, held a roundtable discussion on her show today and she offered some wise words of advice for Rihanna. The young star, who was beaten up by her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, is said to have reunited with him at Diddy’s house in Miami.

Oprah thinks the young couple needs to take some time and get counseling. She also mentioned a good point – “Love doesn’t hurt.” Well, at least not physically. And Oprah pointed out something she says she has been telling women for years – “If a man hits you once, he will hit you again.”

Oprah’s best friend, Gayle King, also chimed in to say that the two need to take some time and that Rihanna, in reuniting with Brown so soon after the attack, maybe sending her fans the “wrong message.”

Now, on to the yo-yo relationship of Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman. The two split in July 2008 after five years together, but reunited shortly there after. By all reports, the pair seemed happy and I had just finished reading in a tabloid last night that Kimmel’s children were urging him to marry Silverman.

However, the two have called it quits again. If it is upsetting Jimmy, it certainly isn’t showing. He showed up on “The View” today dressed as former moderator Rosie O’Donnell. Jimmy said he dressed as Rosie because things ended abruptly between Rosie and the other moderators of the show and he wanted to give them a chance to say goodbye.

When asked about the second split from Silverman, Kimmel replied that “The only thing better than breaking up is going on ‘The View’ right after you break up. It’s really [like] living a dream.” When asked if the relationship was really over this time, Kimmel replied, “I don’t know, ask her.”
