Ordering Checks Online

checks Have you ever wondered where your friends get their cute checks, and why you’re stuck with the boring, ho-hum designs your bank offers? Chances are, your friends are ordering their checks online, and are able to choose from hundreds of cute patterns. I’ve been ordering my checks online for years, and love it.

First, do a little research into the company you’d like to use. My two favorites are Checks in the Mail and Current. Both these companies offer safe online ordering and they have really reasonable prices, both for checks and for shipping, and you can get personal checks, business checks, side tear, top tear, duplicates … the selection is awesome. If you’ve heard of another company you’d like to try, do an Internet search for the name of that company and see what their customers have to say about their security.

Then browse through the site and find the design you’d like. Some checks come in sets of four designs, and some just have one design, so be sure to click on the pictures that interest you to see if there are others shown as well. The checks I have right now have four images, and feature roses, then pansies, then poppies, then sunflowers, and then go back to roses on the fifth check.

You’ll then be asked to enter your bank information and your personal information. A reputable company will relay all this information through a secure website, so you will be safe as you order. You’ll enter your preferred check starting number, and then you’ll be asked to double check your information to make sure it was all put in correctly. Then the site will show you a preview of what your check will look like, and you can decide if you approve it or want to make changes.

When you’re done, it will take anywhere from two weeks to a month for your new checks to arrive, so make sure you order them in plenty of time before you run out.

It is true that more and more of us are paying our bills online and we don’t use checks like we used to, but they haven’t been phased out altogether, and isn’t it fun to have really cute ones when we do need to use them?
