Mental and Emotional Fitness Workout

I have always believed in combining a healthy mental workout whenever I am starting a new fitness regimen. Since I started working on the workout portion of the Abs Diet, it’s time to take a mental inventory in order to promote a better state of mind in order to target personal change and improvement. The following exercise can be done through fitness journal or just as an independent exercise that you can type up on the computer or write out by hand. After a while my routine became second nature and I stopped journaling. Recently, though, I’ve been hearing more and more trainers recommend that athletes continue keeping a workout diary regardless of whether or not they have memorized a set routine. The reason: Keeping a journal helps you recognize improvements. For example, if you started a training program that includes running you would track the number … Continue reading

Tip of the Day- Play a game of tag

It’s just a fact of life that most of us need more exercise than we get. Just for today, enjoy your family, enjoy life, and enjoy your body. Gather the kids around you and play a game of tag. Inside or out, be as creative as you’d like but get up and move. Combining exercise with the things we love most gives us an added benefit. Not … Continue reading
