Paris Hilton’s Cocaine Bust

It’s is almost as if Lindsay Lohan tagged Paris Hilton on her way out of rehab. These two seem to share the limelight for their notorious behavior and this week, it is Paris’ turn to be in the news.

Hilton was arrested last night in Las Vegas. The officers pulled over the vehicle in which Paris was riding as it sat in front of the Wynn Hotel. It is assumed Hilton was in front of the hotel because her boyfriend Cy Waits runs a nightclub there.

Police expected to find marijuana in the vehicle because smoke was coming out the window, but upon closer inspection, they found something else in Paris’ purse – cocaine.

The 29-year-old heiress was arrested for possession of a controlled substance shortly after midnight. The driver of the vehicle, an unidentified male, was also arrested on DUI charges.

Hilton was released early Saturday morning from the Clark Detention Center. This is her third drug related offense this summer alone.

Her first offense this summer was in July when she was in South Africa for the World Cup. The police thought they caught her smoking marijuana, but she was released and her rep merely called it a “complete misunderstanding.” Hilton was caught with less than a gram of marijuana in her purse later in July on the French Island of Corsica, but again was released without being charged.

Her problems with the law date back even further than that. In September 2006, Hilton was arrested and charged with DUI when her blood alcohol level was above the legal limit in California. She got 36 months probation and a $1,500 fine for that.

The next January, she was found to be driving without a license, but was released after signing a statement acknowledging that she was not allowed to drive. That didn’t stop her because she was caught driving again in late February 2007 with a suspended license. She was sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation.

When is this girl, famous for who knows what reason, going to learn her lesson?
