Preschool Educational Toy Round Up

Christmas is coming so the time to toy shop is sneaking up on us. Christmas gets closer every year to the adults. This year make your toy selections wisely. Chose toys this year that inspire curiosity, imagination and a love for learning. The following list of toys is some of my favorite preschool toys that are fun and educational.

Educational Insights Geosafari Talking Microscope: Explore the wonder of getting 5x closer with this perfect first microscope. The microscope features 5x focusing magnifier and a light that makes viewing easy. It comes with a Talking Microscope Unit and 12 prepared interactive slides plus a convenient storage box.

Dalmatian Pet Kit: All three of my girls loved to play vet with a Dalmatian Pet Kit. They loved playing pretend and learned so much as we discussed what each item was for and how a real veterinarian uses it. You can find many variations of this in stores like Target, Kohl’s and Wal-Mart. The kits come with a cage, stuffed puppy, and play veterinarian instruments.

Melissa & Doug Wooden Toys: I could not pick just one since all the Melissa and Doug wooden toys will be money well spent. The toys are high in quality and provide hours and years of play. You can pick adorable toys like the See & Spell, Bear Family Dress Up, and a variety of food toys. My kids especially loved the wooden food you could pretend to cut.

Do-A-Dot Rainbow Art Set: This is a simple item that would make a great stocking stuffer. The markers will not try off if the caps are left off! You can purchase several books and activities to go with the markers.

Jumbo Cardboard Blocks: Also by Melissa & Doug, these blocks will provide an afternoon of wonder. The blocks are just as much fun for the adults as they are for the kids.

Let’s not forget Legos and Playmobils! Think imagination, curiosity, exploration and cut down on the batteries this year.
