Nothing beats spring in gorgeous San Diego.  The amazingly comfortable temperatures, sun-kissed shores and hundreds of family-friendly attractions make the California city a popular vacation destination.

This season San Diego is blossoming with a slew of surprises for visitors.  Take a look at the following date, and then planning accordingly so you can make the most of your time and money in “America’s Finest City”:

LEGOLAND:  Beginning March 8th, LEGOLAND debuts its newest attraction, a 4-D movie, “LEGO Legend of Chima.”  The flick will be shown at the LEGO Show Place Theater and features a wild chase through the imaginary land of Chima with young animal characters based on the LEGO World of Chima products, including a battle between Laval the Lion Prince and Cragger the Crocodile Prince.

Coronado Community Center:  On Saturday, March 30, families are invited to a special “Easter Egg-stravaganza & Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.”  This hopping good time includes a holiday meal, as well as fun-filled egg hunts and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Hotel del Coronado:  On Sunday, March 31, the historic Hotel del Coronado celebrates Easter with fun for the entire family, including old-fashioned egg hunts on the oceanfront Windsor Lawn.  Kids can also visit a craft fun zone, take photos with the Easter Bunny and fill-up on holiday treats at the hotel’s brunch buffet.

Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch:  From now through May you can soak up the sights and smells of spring at the Flower Fields of Carlsbad Ranch in Carlsbad, California.  The property features 50 acres of vibrant ranunculus flowers, a miniature rose garden, a fragrant sweet pea maze, and a garden featuring more than 50 All-American Rose Selection winners and a spectacular display of red, white and blue flowers planted in the shape of a giant American flag.

Aquatica:  In just a few weeks, Aquatica San Diego opens with a host of exciting kid-friendly attractions.  The new SeaWorld waterpark features a slew of high-octane waterslides in addition to hands-on experiences with a variety of exotic animals. Aquatica San Diego also boasts a sandy beach for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
