Spring Fling for Kids

Who says the only place you can hang out with the Easter Bunny is at the mall? Peter Cottontail is hopping into several towns before he makes his mad dash around the world on Easter Sunday. Take a look at just some of the places your kids can party with the holiday rabbit before he hits the bunny trail:

PENNSYLVANIA

You and your kids can ride the rails with Peter Cottontail on the Great Easter Bunny Train Ride in Strasburg. The Strasburg Rail Road is letting the Easter Bunny play conductor on a steam train that chugs through the Pennsylvania countryside. The 45-minute trip includes a meet and greet with the bunny, photo ops and treats galore.

SOUTH CAROLINA

The Marina Inn at Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach is planning egg-citing events for kids of all ages during the Easter weekend. Friday night features a family movie and s’more roast under the stars followed by egg and cookie decorating on Saturday. On Sunday, the Easter Bunny hosts an egg hunt and shares a savory Easter brunch with hotel guests. Two-night Easter packages are still available and include brunch for a family of four, plus a welcome basket.

TEXAS

Barton Creek Resort in Austin is serving up Texas-sized Easter fun during the holiday weekend. Family Easter weekend packages at the luxurious golf resort start at around $200 and include mini golf, pool games, an egg hunt, carnival, and a chance to hang out with the Easter Bunny himself.

UTAH

Get up close and personal with the Easter Bunny at the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah, this year. When you are not hitting the slopes with Peter Cottontail, you can take a dip in the Homestead Crater, a 55-foot limestone rock filled with 90-degree mineral water, design your own Easter eggs, attend the pinata workshop, or create Easter baskets to fill during Sunday’s massive egg hunt on the resort’s lawn. Three-night Easter weekend packages start at less than $100 per night and include breakfast and Easter activities.
