Star Updates: Rosie and Katie

Many people (mainly those in the media) are wondering how Rosie O’Donnell is faring in the days since she told executives at “The View” she didn’t plan to return to the show on Tuesday—or ever! (Okay, she didn’t say “ever,” but you have to wonder will all the bad blood that was spilled during her war of words with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck if Rosie will indeed return to the show as a guest to speak on issues such as autism and adoption as she promised a few months ago.)

Personally, I don’t know why members of the media are speculating on how Rosie is feeling after her impromptu exit from the show. After all, the ex-“View” co-host spills her guts on her blog every day. For example, on Saturday, Rosie told her blog readers that she is “not sorry” to be leaving “The View” early. In fact, Rosie’s blog addresses many other questions regarding the on-air blow up.

When a fan asked Rosie: “Don’t you want to do an interview something to clear the air?,” O’Donnell replied: “no interviews/ u watched it happen/ b 4 ur eyes.”

Another online comment reads: “Elisabeth really gave it to you! You are retreating like a coward. How does it feel to be such a loser???” to which O’Donnell responds, “peace full.”

Asked if she has spoken to Elisabeth since the on-air fight, O’Donnell wrote, “no/ but a small e mail thing/ we did/ its ok.”

On to Katie Holmes…

Dear sweet Mrs. Tom Cruise is at it again. This time though, it’s with snow cones.

In a previous blog I told you that for the past several weeks Holmes has been treating her fellow cast and crew members to yummy treats—every Friday. According to recipients of Holmes’ generosity it has gotten to the point where people start wondering on Monday what the new mom is bringing in on Friday.

According to insiders, last Friday a snow cone truck pulled up to the Louisiana-based movie set in the afternoon and it wasn’t long before a line quickly formed and snaked around the set.

Since shooting began Holmes has reportedly treated the entire cast and crew on her new movie– about 200 to 300 people – to “smoothies, ice cream, pizza, cupcakes, Coke floats and now snow cones.”

Forgive me for not accepting that Holmes is simply a sweet and generous individual, but I still wonder if she is not setting herself up… after all, what’s going to happen when she films her next movie and doesn’t carry on this tradition of bringing treats?
