We just finished our first week of swimming lessons. at the Rockwall YMCA. We opted to go every day for two weeks. Classes are Monday through Thursday.
It takes a lot of planning to take two small children through different activities that last all day long. On Monday I thought I really had everything together because I packed most of it the night before. We left the house a little later than I wanted, which happens all too often. I had never seen that many cars in the parking lot before. I was lucky to find a place to park.
We checked in at the front desk and went straight to the child care room to check in Baby E. Baby E did fine transitioning into child care and didn’t even seem to notice that we’d left. Jessie, on the other hand, did not like leaving E behind; she kept asking about her baby.
We went to the locker room first to drop off our stuff before going to the pool. At the pool we checked in to find out where Jessie’s class meets. There were two other children in Jessie’s class and Jessie seemed to have a good time.
After class we got changed and then I put Jessie in the child care room. I took a class and ran into a mom from ECI Group class. When I took E out of child care for her class, Jessie couldn’t handle it. She wanted to go with us. I really can’t have Jessie out at the pool while I’m in the water with the baby.
After it was all over we got changed and picked up Jessie. I had packed a lunch and the girls ate in the car so we could go straight to nap when we got home.
