I love “Newman’s Own Balsamic Vinaigrette” salad dressing. It costs a bit more than the Kraft brand that I usually get, but every once and a while I splurge because I know that part of the proceeds go to aid Paul Newman’s charities. One of the Academy Award-winning actor’s charities, is the “Hole in the Wall” camp designed for critically ill children. Young Women’s Camp

Summer is quickly approaching. For those of you with young women it means that it is nearly time to send them off to camp. Young Women’s Camp brings back a lot of memories. One summer we had a lake full of leeches and the hike we went on was through brush literally covered with ticks. There were hundreds of ticks on each bush. Kentucky Horse Park–A Horse Lovers Dream Vacation

Even if you missed watching the Preakness Stakes horse race (of the famed Triple Crown), you likely know by now that just a few seconds out of the gate, odds-on favorite, Barbaro, shattered three bones in his right hind leg. The scene was heart breaking and the replays of the race even caught the attention of my toddler daughter, who wanted to know, “What wrong with horsey?” It prompted me to do some research on horses and their training regime.
