Universities Must Accommodate for Food Allergies

Parents of teens who have celiac disease, and who will be heading to college this year, may have concerns about what will be served in the school cafeteria. Last year, I wrote a blog about something that will make parents of young adults with celiac disease, or a gluten allergy, rest a little easier. Some universities were starting to make accommodations for students who had celiac disease, or a gluten allergy … Continue reading

Violence and Slang Terms

It seems hard to blog about something as insignificant as celebrity gossip in the wake of what happened yesterday at Virginia Tech. Thirty-three innocent people are dead just for doing what most think of as the American dream – receiving a higher education in hopes of improving themselves. Whether we like it or not, violence seems to be a part of our American culture. Have you ever used the term “going postal” to describe a coworker, friend, or even yourself? Single Moms Going Back to School – Part Two

In the first part of “Single Moms Going Back to School”, we talked a little about the importance and convenience offered with online education. As mentioned, I made the decision after my divorce to take advantage of the online opportunity, doing something for me and for my kids.
