Happy Un-Valentine’s Day!

In a previous blog I told you that I won’t be partaking in a romantic dinner this Valentine’s Day. Nor, am I expecting to be showered with diamonds, rubies, sapphires or chocolates. That said; I am still looking forward to February 14th. Others I know are also looking forward to the day, but not because they are planning to mark the occasion with flowers and kisses. Seven Days of Valentines

Instead of celebrating just once for Valentine’s Day, why not build up to it for a week? Start on the seventh (or have cards or other small gifts begin arriving on that date) and present something each day until the fourteenth. Small gestures are best, because they will surprise and delight the person you love without making that person feel obligated to return the favor. Taking Care of Each Other

Do you take care of your spouse? Does he or she take care of you? What exactly does that mean? There are many ways of caring for each other from everyday little things to a more literal sense such as when one spouse is ill or injured. I had oral surgery yesterday. It was, to be honest, awful. I awoke in the middle of the surgery. I was only half-awake because of the pills they had given me besides the gas, but I must say, it was somewhat traumatic. It was also very painful.
