Prince William’s Fly Moves

Prince William just earned his helicopter “wings” a few weeks ago and he’s already making headlines for questionable maneuvers. Personally, I think the entire brouhaha is quite humorous. According to British newspapers, Princess Diana’s first born was out flying a 90-foot, twin-rotor, troop-carrying Chinook last week when he decided to swing by his girlfriend’s parent’s house and show off a bit. The News of the World is reporting that William successfully maneuvered his helicopter in a field behind gal pal Kate Middleton’s parent’s home while she and her folks looked on. Sunday Travel Funnies: One More Reason To Wear A Seat Belt

When I was growing up I don’t remember if our family station wagon even had seat belts. Fast-forward to today and I refuse to back out of the garage until everyone is buckled in. These days it seems most children don’t need to be bribed or whined at by adult drivers in order for them to fasten their seat belts. In most areas of the country Life Flight, or a similar service, is now available to transport critically ill or injured patients to … Continue reading

When Your Child Is Hurt–The Unexpected Trauma Injury

Before you read this Blog I need to warn you, I tend to get a little dramatic when I write about this event in our family’s life. To my credit I think it should be expected that a mommy would be dramatic about a traumatic life changing injury happening to her oldest child. The truth is we do not live our lives thinking we would be the people on the evening news, or that our child would be taken to the hospital in a life flight helicopter. It was December 6, 1992 and snow had covered the valley floor of … Continue reading
