Sad Stray Pup Update

You know that little stray Beagle I puppy sat last week? The one I had named Winky? Wayne and I were walking Murph in the neighborhood the other day and we ran into the neighbors who had found him. A few nights ago, my aunt and uncle found a miniature poodle wandering through their backyard. Happy’s Happy Ending

How is this for an amazing adventure: a runaway dog is home after seven months in which he managed to find TWO new homes, get neutered, and get renamed. Happy — also known as Radar during his seven month adventure — ran away from his Illinois farm home in April. Preventing A Lost Pet

Sometimes, prevention is the best solution to a lost pet. Make sure your yard is pet-proof. Check for gaps in the fence or holes underneath. Don’t stack things near the fence where your dog or cat could climb up and over! Make sure your home is pet-proof. A dog or cat can easily jump out an open window if it doesn’t have screens. Moose, The Great Escape Mutt!

My Moose is quite an escape artist. Give him a half-inch crack in a door or fence and he’ll somehow manage to squeeze himself through. Once he gets a hint of freedom, my normally sedentary lazy boy turns into Moose the Brown Rocket. He picks a direction and keeps on going.
