Diva Craft Lounge Podcast

I have heard about Podcasts for a while now, but I just recently actually looked one up online and listened to it. Scrapbooking podcasts are a fun way to learn even more about scrapbooking. The Diva Craft Lounge has a great selection of different podcasts that you can listen to. Just click on the Radio Show link and it will take you to a list of all their podcasts with a brief summary under each show title. Since I was new to podcasts, I had a few questions and maybe you do too. First, I wondered if there was a … Continue reading

Podcasting is So Cool! Imagine!

Inspired by Whit Larson of the popular MormonMomCast, I browsed the podcasts available in the LDS category on iTunes and found the anti-Mormon podcasts far outnumbered the actual LDS podcasts. Ever the proponent of the gospel and literacy in the home, an idea began percolating in my head. As I went about the duties of my daily life the idea took on a life of its own and within weeks I began putting together the idea of podcast. First, I think I was the only one in the world who had no idea what a podcast was until I ran … Continue reading

MormonMomCast: A Great Podcast

I recently learned about a great podcast for LDS women called MormonMomCast. A podcast is like a radio show that you can download and listen to whenever you want. (Here is a link to learn more about podcasts.) The podcast talks about the gospel and life in general. The three hosts are all LDS moms. I was really excited as I listened to this podcast. I really enjoyed listening to the comments that all three ladies made. I asked the host Whit Larson to do a little interview, and I’m posting it here today. You should check out the podcast. … Continue reading

Bill Phillips’ Transformation Station

I recently discovered the joys of podcasts. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard the word “podcast”. You may not have had the time to look into podcasts and what they can bring into your life though. (Like television, podcasts can add to your life or waste your time, depending upon which ones you listen to.) Taking the Body for Life Challenge is good for me, but it isn’t easy. One thing that is really helping me stay motivated is Bill Phillips’ Transformation Talk, a weekly radio show aired on Sirius Satellite Radio. If you don’t subscribe to … Continue reading

Podcasting – Using iTunes to find and listen

Now that we have gone into the basics of what a podcast is and what some of the terminology means in my first article. We can now look at how you can find a podcast and then listen to it. In preparing this article I looked at what is out there for podcatching software and there is quite a lot, let me tell you. I have used one or two in the past but when Apple released a version of iTunes that already had a very large directory of podcasts that played right there in the media player you already … Continue reading

Podcasts – The Basics

Podcasting. It’s one of those internet buzz words. Everybody talks about it. But what is Podcasting? Podcasting is a way to distribute over the internet audio or video files using RSS or Atom Syndication. The file could be a professional radio program, a music video, or your own internet radio show. Just like you can listen to the “radio” on the “radio” with podcasting you have a “podcast” of a “podcast”. It means both the delivery method as well as the content. The underlying syndication technology was available in the early 2000’s but started to become extremely popular around 2004. … Continue reading

Scrapbooking Podcast: What it is and Where to Find Them

I’ve heard the question hundreds of times, what exactly is a podcast? A podcast is the latest in blog technology and is actually like a radio show and sometimes a video show you listen to or watch on your computer. You can also save the podcast to a CD or move it to an MP3 player. I’ve been known to download a whole series and burn them to CD. I can then pop them in my CD player in the car and listen while I’m running errands or sitting in traffic. The same works for an MP3 Player. There are … Continue reading
