The Post office says that 85 percent of all of the hand addressed cards get read by a card reader. This is the fastest way possible, with 36,000 pieces of mail sorted in one hour. The Forever Stamp Goes on Sale Today

A new “forever” stamp goes on sale today, April 12, 2007, emblazoned with the Liberty Bell. The idea behind the stamp is that many people are sick of postage rate hikes (okay, make that everybody) and the consequential 2 cent stamps that you have to buy, in order to use up your now outdated postage stamps.
