Cheap Laughs

How do you tell the difference between a chili bean and a green bean? The chilly one wears a jacket. Yes, it’s a barrel of laughs around here. My 8-year-old is currently obsessed with jokes, riddles and all things comical.  Her timing and delivery has improved dramatically since her preschool days when she used to give away the punch line at the beginning of the joke. Bi-Partisan Committee Announces Disallowing Marriage as a Legal Institution In an effort to reach an accord with all disparate views the California legislature announced today that they will be introducing a bill that if passed by the legislature and signed by Governor Schwarzenegger will disallow the use of the word ‘marriage’ in any state documents including licenses and more. All couples, both heterosexual and homosexual will be able to apply for Civil Union licenses. Civil unions will be recognized with all the rights usually attributable to ‘married’ couples. I realize St. Patrick’s Day has passed but I was eager to share this anyway… When I think about St. Patrick’s Day, I think about four leaf clovers, leprechauns, rainbows and pots of gold. The purpose behind Saint Patrick’s Day has little to do with most of this. As a teen in the early 400’s Patrick was captured and brought over from what is now Scotland to be a slave in Ireland.
