American Idol Boots Another

If you watched “American Idol” last night, you know another fan favorite was booted off. As we saw with Sanjaya, the fans can only carry a singer so far in the competition. However, if you saw Tuesday night’s show, you may not be surprised that dreadlocked Jason Castro was eliminated last night. Did Biggest Loser Go Too Far?

If you watched Biggest Loser this past season, it was a special series – couples! There was a mother/daughter couple, a father/daughter couple, best friends, married couples, and even divorced couple. The divorced couple – Kelly Fields and Paul Marks – came in weighing quite a bit. Kelly weighed in at 271 – the heaviest female on this season. Paul wasn’t the heaviest male, but at 310 and only 5’ 4”, he was certainly at risk. His father and grandfather, both overweight, died before the age of 50. When Jennifer Lopez finally announced she was pregnant with twins (during her seventh month) she said all her dreams had finally come true and she planned to “just be a mom” for a while. “Nanny 911” is a reality TV show which is geared toward helping parents learn how to manage their children. The stars are Nanny Deb, Nanny Stella, and Nanny Yvonne who go out to different homes, stay for a week, observe the conditions and routines within that home, and then decide what needs to be done. Each episode features a different nanny, as they rotate who goes to which home. The first day with the family, the nanny simply observes. Scratch that… what I think she said was that she’s in a lose-lose situation. In her mind she probably is. Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife made the remark while promoting her new reality show on E! (which her pal Ryan Seacrest is producing). The show made headlines before the first scenes were even shot thanks to her warring ex. Sheen didn’t want the couple’s young daughters Sam, 4, and Lola, 2, to appear on the show and took Richards to court to stop it from happening. It’s official… Denise Richards is making like Tori Spelling—-she’s getting her own reality TV show. I mentioned the brouhaha surrounding the actress’ new series in a previous blog and wondered if the show would be picked up as a summer replacement. I don’t know how many of you watched the Survivor China finale the other night. There were four remaining Survivors – Denise (the lunch lady), Courtney (the waifish waitress), Todd (the schemer), and Amanda (the beauty queen). So much for being 45 and single. Producers of “Scott Baio is 45… and Single” need to change the title of the reality TV series. Because now Scott Baio is 46… and married. The actor kissed his bachelor days goodbye last night when he tied the knot with longtime gal pal Renee Sloan (with whom he has an infant daughter). Celebrity Update: Dog Gets Dumped

A little more than 24 hours after his profanity-laced private phone conversation was posted online, TV’s bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman’s show has been dumped from the air indefinitely. Executives at A&E, the network that broadcasts “Dog The Bounty Hunter,” just announced it has “evaluated the circumstances” surrounding Chapman’s private phone conversation in which the reality star continually used a racial slur and has decided to take the popular show off the network’s schedule for the “foreseeable future.” “We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun,” the network said in a public statement released late … Continue reading →

Duane “Dog” Chapman is going to have a hard time getting out of the doghouse this time… The TV bounty hunter put his foot in his mouth and is now putting his tail between his legs as he desperately tries to apologize for using the N-word repeatedly in a profanity-laced tirade during a private phone conversation with his son that was recorded and posted online.
