Defining Prosperity

Prosperity is one of my favorite words. In fact, I have it spelled out in little colorful alphabet blocks in a prominent spot in my living room. I love being able to look up from my laptop or reach up to take a book off the shelf and see the colorful word spelled out in block letters: p-r-o-s-p-e-r-i-t-y… I know that many people think of prosperity as simply meaning that you have lots of money. While I cannot argue that money makes my life a little more comfortable in many ways, the word “prosperity” inspires me in my home business … Continue reading

Money and Feng Shui

My husband and I became curious about Feng Shui recently. The custom and culture surrounding this ancient wisdom is fascinating. What I like most about Feng Shui is its focus on balance. The key to a satisfying life is to create balance in your life and environment. I believe this practice is important whether you are balancing colors in a room or balancing your budget. Jobs that pay those kinds of salaries are extremely demanding. Not only do they add stress, they take away from your … Continue reading

Does God Want us to Be Healthy, Wealthy and Wise? – Part 2

Job was one Old Testament example of someone who, despite being godly, experienced great suffering and lost his health and wealth. Today I’m going to look at a New Testament example – that of the apostle Paul. No-one would deny Paul was a godly man greatly used by God, as he spread the gospel message to the Gentiles. But did God bless him with good health, and wealth? A look at several passages will reveal the answer to this. Could anyone say because he was God’s servant Paul got everything easy? Have a look at 2 Corinthians 11:24-33. This shows … Continue reading

WHO HUNTS FOR TREASURE

Unfortunately, when we talk about treasure hunting, we envision old men after retirement walking around with their little metal detector, hoping to find some type of treasure to make their retirement more successful. Hunting for treasure is no longer associated with just the elderly. In fact, children as young as four to woman up to 95 are all enjoying the fun and benefits of using metal detectors to hunt for treasure. One of the most popular reasons people treasure hunt is to find rare coins. If you were to walk along the beaches of Malibu, you would spot entire families … Continue reading
