Power of a Woman Part 2: S-E-X

I blush crimson as I write this blog! This is a topic I have never written about, except in my personal journals, but here goes. Picture this scenario, women: You have had a hard day. You made a mistake at work and your boss bawled you out. You were late picking your eight-year-old up from school and all the way home she let you know how awful and humiliating it was to be the last kid picked up. The dog ate the casserole you prepared for dinner. You pulled the laundry out of the dryer, only to find crayon marks … Continue reading

Power of a Woman

I have been thinking recently about the tremendous influence wives have in their husbands lives. Ladies, a wife can make a man’s life wonderful, or she can make it miserable. Have you read the story of Job? This poor guy was going through hell on earth. All of his children were killed, his riches were gone and he broke out in painful boils. All he had left was his wife. A Godly Wife

What is a godly woman? I think it’s important here to refer you back to my previous blog and to stress that there is no mold. We are all unique and different and I’m glad. Being a godly wife doesn’t mean you look like June Cleaver and it doesn’t mean you have to be perfect. You must truly believe that before you read on to what a godly wife is. Have You Seen This Woman?

Maybe you’ve had the pleasure of meeting this woman. First of all, she is beautiful. Her hair is always fixed, her makeup is always perfect and her clothes are always pressed. Her home is meticulous. Every closet is organized and there is not a single dust bunny to be found, not even under the couch. She cooks a delicious dinner every night, including a decadent dessert. (And yet her figure is amazing!) She drives the car pool, she’s president of the PTA, she volunteers at the library, she’s a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader. She’s always calm, … Continue reading

O Blessed Woman

As the brethren have stated, “Women, in partnership with God bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man” (Moses 1:39), ushering children into the world in a rush of excruciating pain, happiness and overwhelming love. In partnership with their husbands, they do their part in the plan of salvation by giving birth to, raising, nurturing and teaching these children, to simply raise them up unto God. Without faithful women of God, children will be tossed to and fro by the winds of change as the world inundates families with a barrage of attractively wrapped danger. “To you women, … Continue reading
