Young children see and hear many things that their little eyes and ears are not ready for hearing and seeing. They are exposed to adult talk, inappropriate songs, and less than pure television shows. Do You Support Zero Tolerance?

Many schools have adopted zero tolerance rules. Zero tolerance means that no exceptions are allowed and all cases are treated with the same seriousness. Since zero tolerance rules were placed, there have been many discussions and controversies over whether or not the rule is fair. Most zero tolerance rules deal with violence and drugs. When a Threat is Made…

School violence and shootings are becoming more and more common. In fact they are so common that teachers can no longer assume that the gun actions of imaginative boys is innocent. Words of shooting and death cannot be ignored or taken lightly. While I am thankful that my county has been saved thus far from the terror and nightmare of school shootings, I am aware of threats and threatening notes. Have Schools Gone Too Far With Their No Tolerance Policy?

Many schools, especially high schools, have enforced a policy they call “No Tolerance.” Basically, it states that anyone involved in a fight is suspended. In many schools, a fight consists of both physical altercations as well as verbal. Often times, the police are called out to make a report.
