The Champion/ Motivating Personality Type

The “Champion Motivating” Personality type, or the ENFP personality type, describes a person who is an Extrovert (E), who perceives the world through their Intuition (N), who relies on their Feelings (F) about the people and circumstances involved in a given situation as a basis for decision making, and who views the world from the vantage point of being open to Perceiving (P) ideas that are brand new, and different from, their own.

If you are an extrovert, you enjoy interacting with the outside world around you, as well as with the people in it. You thrive from this interaction, and very much prefer it to being alone with your own thoughts. You like to use your intuition to give you information that goes beyond the facts of a given situation, and you like to use your feelings about the people and the circumstances involved in a given situation as a guide for your decision making process. You view the outside world by identifying ideas that are new and different to your own, and are open to hearing about and considering those ideas.

The parenting style of a person with an ENFP personality one filled with joy and energy. You truly enjoy hanging out with your child, and consider your child to be your best companion. You spend a lot of time and energy playing with your child, and get satisfaction from doing so. In part, this is because you like spending time with your child, but it is also because doing so provides an excellent excuse for you to go ahead, and be a kid again, for as long as the play time continues. You are more than willing to change around an established routine, or overlook some rules, in favor of giving your child plenty of free time to play, and to explore the world around him. You love to introduce your child to all the wonderful experiences that life has to offer, and you use these new experiences as a way to encourage your child to express his own individuality. You are very empathic, and quickly pick up on how your child is feeling, and this allows you to give your child the emotional support that he needs.

A child who grows up with an ENFP parent becomes very emotionally close with that parent. This child thinks of his ENFP parent as someone who is fun to be with, and may consider this parent to be his very best friend. He learns that life is full of wonder, and is excited about exploring his world. He has been given many opportunities to express his individuality, and, as a result, he grows to be comfortable and happy with who he is. He learns from his ENFP parent how to tune in to what a loved one is feeling, as well as how to provide emotional support to that person.

If your child has an ENFP personality, he will become an adult who tries out several different career paths before settling down with the one career that he wants to stick with for life. He is going to gravitate towards employment situations that allow him to work with other people. He will find enjoyment and fulfillment in a career that focuses on helping other people to find their potential, and to improve upon it. An adult with the ENFP personality might choose a career as a Psychologist, or Counselor. He also might become a Speech Pathologist, a Development Trainer in an HR Department, or a Designer.
