The Sequester Will Affect Special Education – Part 2

Georgia
* Loss of $28.6 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 390 teacher and aide jobs at risk
* Additional loss of $17.5 million in funds for 210 teachers, aides, and staff who help kids with disabilities.

Hawaii
* Loss of $4.7 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 60 teacher and aide jobs at risk
* Additional loss of $2 million in funds for 20 teachers, aides, and staff who help kids with disabilities

Idaho
* Loss of $3.7 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 50 teacher and aide jobs at risk
* Additional loss of $2.9 million in funds for 30 teachers, aides, and staff who help kids with disabilities

Illinois
* Loss of $33.4 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 460 teacher and aide jobs at risk
* Additional loss of $24.7 million in funds for 300 teachers, aides, and staff who help kids with disabilities

Indiana
* Loss of $13.8 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 190 teacher and aide jobs at risk
* Additional loss of $12.4 million in funds for 150 teachers, aides, and staff that help kids with disabilities

Iowa
* Loss of $6.4 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 90 teacher and aide jobs at risk
* Additional loss of $5.8 million in funds for 70 teachers, aides, and staff who help kids with disabilities

Kansas
* Loss of $5.5 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 80 teacher and aide jobs at risk

* Loss of $11.8 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 160 teacher and aide jobs at risk

* Loss of $15.8 in funding for primary and secondary education
* 220 teacher and aide jobs at risk

* Loss of $2.7 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 40 teacher and aide jobs at risk

Maryland
* Loss of $14.4 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 200 teacher and aide jobs at risk
* Additional loss of $9.7 million in funds for 120 teachers, aides, and staff who help kids with disabilities

Massachusetts
* Loss of $13.9 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 190 teacher and aide jobs at risk
* Additional loss of $13.4 million for 160 teachers, aides, and staff who help kids with disabilities

Michigan
* Loss of $22 million in funding for primary and secondary education
* 300 teacher and aide jobs at risk
