Time To Get Out the Pressure Washer

clean sidewalk A pressure washer is a great tool to invest in for use around your home. It can make short work of clean up of your outdoor environment. Spring is the perfect time to use a power washer, too. Bright sun and gentle breezes help dry anything that you wash. Put a quick, clean shine on things.

What is a Pressure Washer?

A pressure washer is a machine that sprays out water at high volume. It can be used to remove dirt, mildew, mold, dust, grime and even chipping paint. The home pressure washer attaches to a common garden hose for its water source, and a special canister of soap can also be used as well for more cleaning power.

Pressure washers can be powered by gas or my electricity, and they vary in size and strength. The washer will come with a gun-like trigger, and different nozzles can be interchanged for different jobs.

A pressure washer can be a dangerous tool. Body parts should definitely be kept away from the stream, which can cause bruises at the very least. With professional strength models, they can even strip flesh off of the bone.

You can purchase a home pressure washer for not too much money, or opt to rent one. Remember that you probably don’t need a lot of force for home use.

Where Can You Use Your Pressure Washer?

Concrete surfaces respond very well to pressure washers. You will be amazed at how quickly your sidewalks, driveway, concrete porch, and garage floor clean up. All of that stubborn dirt and grime will lift way, bringing back the original color and condition of the surface.

You can also use a pressure washer to clean the side of your house, especially if it is made out of brick or siding. Just go carefully, so you don’t wind up stripping the paint.

Cleaning off plastic outdoor toys and furniture is another one of my favorite uses of a power washer. Instead of spending hours scrubbing with a bucket and sponge, the job can be done in just minutes.
