Time to Start Thinking About Christmas!

I know Halloween was only yesterday, and that we still have another holiday in between now and Christmas, but if you are like most single moms you don’t have a bundle of cash sitting around come December when it’s time to start Christmas shopping. If you start now, it helps keep the holidays a little less stressful, plus now all the Halloween candy is on clearance. That means you can get a ton of candy to fill those stockings for dirt cheap! Candy can get expensive around Christmas time because it is in such high demand. This way you don’t even have to worry about it!

Start looking around for deals on the toys you are thinking of getting for your kids this year. If you keep an eye out early on, you can usually catch some pretty good deals. When you start this early it makes Christmas shopping much less of a burden. You aren’t spending a huge amount of money all at once. Instead, you are spending a little here and a little there when you find a good deal. This makes affording Christmas presents much more manageable, and as an added bonus, you beat standing in line during the holidays, which we all know is a disaster when you have little ones!

Have your kids make their Christmas lists a little early this year. That way you know what to be looking for and it gets your kids excited for the upcoming holidays. If you need some inexpensive stocking stuffers that your kids will love, just try looking at your local dollar store. You’d be amazed at all the fun little things they have that are perfect for stockings, and the best part, it’s cheap! Just don’t forget to hide presents well. Starting this early does give your kids more time to hunt down their Christmas presents, and if they are anything like we were as kids, they’ll find them pretty fast!
