Winter & Spring Disney Deals

I know we’re all thinking about Christmas right now, but if you’d like to take a trip to a Disney Park in the near future, now’s actually time to focus your thoughts instead on the first few months of next year. The Disney Parks rarely hold deals for the busy holiday season, but they’ve already begun posting savings on their websites for the winter months of 2012.

Disney World loves its free dining plans. If you book a vacation to the Florida park in the next week (by December 17), you can earn a free dining plan applicable between January and March of 2012. Your vacation will have to be a non-discounted 4-day 5-night Magic Your Way room and ticket package.

Stays in ritzier hotels (moderate, deluxe, or deluxe villa resort hotels) receive free Disney Dining Plans, and Disney Value Resort Hotels just get free Quick-Meal Dining Plans.

As always, certain exclusions apply. Those are for high tourist volume dates between January and March; the bookings must be for January 8-12, January 21-February 2, February 11-16, March 3-8, or March 24-29.

If you care less about eating at Disney World and would rather get discounted rooms, then there’s another deal for you. It even looks forward through the winter into the spring. Reserve a night in a Disney World hotel by January 22 for stays between February 21 and March 31, or book by February 28 for dates between April 13 and June 14, and receive an up to 30% discount on your hotel fee.

The specifics of the deal are very dependent upon both the date and the hotel you choose. Offers are available for all types of hotels, from deluxe villas to the value resorts. Go to the Disney World Special Offers website to input the dates and hotel you’re interested in to learn more.

Across the country in Anaheim a very similar deal is currently going on for Disneyland Resort Hotels. This time savings go up to 35%, but the details are even more specific than those for the Disney World offer. Book your trip by February 29 for trips ending that date and starting January 2. The offer is applicable only on most Sunday through Thursday nights.

I usually assume that most of these special offers are exclusive to the internet, but the one I’m about to mention is the only one for which I’ve seen a specific notice: not available at the box office. You can get three days’ worth of fun in Disneyland (both parks) for just $199/ticket. The offer applies for visits made between January 4 and May 28, and as mentioned, the tickets must be bought in advance.

Basically, you’re getting 3-day park hopper tickets for $199/person, and children’s (ages 3-9) tickets are $183. The only block-out dates mentioned are March 30-April 15. There’s a limit on 8 tickets per person per day. For additional exclusions, and other currently valid Disneyland deals, check out the Disneyland Special Offers website.
