Fall Travel Deals for Families with Young Children

Even if you don’t have school age children, this can be one of the most wonderful times of the year. In addition to having more room to move at the mall and the park, resorts around the world are slashing prices to entice parents with young children to visit.

Back-to-school means back to reality for lodgings that saw a jump in bookings during the summer months. When school kids clear out, prices come down, and moms and dads can score big savings on getaways with their little kids.

Here are some of the better deals to be had this season:

NICKELODEON HOTEL

The hugely popular Orlando-based hotel caters to young kids. Not only do your tots get to mingle with Pablo from The Backyardigans, Dora the Explorer, Diego and other beloved Nickelodeon stars, but they also get to take part in a host of Nick-themed games and art projects. And if you travel now you won’t have to drain your children’s college funds to take advantage of all the fun. The resort’s Free-for-Fall package gives you a third night free on a two-bedroom kids’ suite, plus you get a $50 resort credit to use for food and entertainment. The deal is good through December 23, 2009.

BEACHES RESORTS

The all-inclusive resorts, located in the sunny Caribbean, are a dream come true for toddlers because of their partnership with Sesame Street. The kid-friendly properties also have incredible day camps and awesome water activity areas where your Elmo-loving tykes can live it up without putting a huge dent in your wallet. From now through November 30, 2009, the “Wonderfall Season” delivers a line-up of special events, including live stage shows with Big Bird, Ernie, and Abby Cadabby. Plus, you can save up to 65 percent on stays of at least three nights.

CLUB MED

The family-friendly all-inclusive resort is running a super deal at its Florida, Mexico, and Caribbean locations. Through April 24, 2010, you can take advantage of the amazing “99 Wow Sale,” which lets you score a getaway for as little as $99 per night, per person, including lodging, meals, and most activities.
