Different Ways to Celebrate For Father’s Day, we’ve done different kinds of gifts over the years from finger paintings my daughter has made to favored books, ties, robes and more. … Continue reading

Summer has finally arrived. The humidity level in the Midwest has made it difficult to enjoy being outdoors during the main daylight hours, so I have tried to play catch up on some scrapbooking. I will be sharing the How To directions for those in the upcoming week. In the meantime, catch up on some reading in case you missed these in the Scrapbooking Blog this week. Say Cheese! Picture People Free Portrait

In September of 2001, on a whim I had the kids’ photo taken at a Picture People in the mall. They needed haircuts and their clothes weren’t new, but it was to be a surprise for daddy. Cute photo of them holding flags and stars, and wearing red, white, and blue. Two days later 9/11 happened. To me, the picture will always remind me of that tragedy. It’s what photos are for, really. To take us back to a snapshot in time. Sophia Loren had a portrait taken of her son every day of his childhood. What a wonderful idea! … Continue reading
