Have you seen the latest pictures of Courtney Love? They were prominently featured on all of the TV entertainment shows tonight. Most of the shots show the former Hole singer looking dramatically thin in a swimsuit strolling along a beach in Hawaii. According to Love’s website, she has dropped 44 pounds with “6 more maybe 11 more to go.”
There’s one shot of her in a bikini that makes her look completely emaciated, but according to Love’s rep, the singer is dropping the weight in a “healthy way.” She reportedly is “following a macrobiotic diet, eating lots of vegetables and fish, and doing yoga and exercise to meet her weight-loss goals.”
And, if the sight of her protruding ribs doesn’t make you stare, perhaps the view of her “new-old nose” will. Love also uses space on her site to write openly about having another nose job in an effort to get her “old nose” back.
“I hated that nosejobby nose, it was like a little beak,” she writes. Now, she says, she had had her nose “fixed.” “[It] looks like the one god gave me so im happy not to have crazy lips and a crazy teensy unnatural little nose.”
Love’s new look shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to her loyal fans, after all she did vow to make a major comeback upon being released from rehab last year. Back then she said Mel Gibson helped her “get her head back on straight” and that her focus would be raising her 14-year-old daughter, Frances Bean (with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain), and staging a comeback.
She certainly got people’s attention with her new look.
Another celebrity garnering (unwanted) attention for her new look is Allegra Versace, the 20-year-old daughter of fashion designer Donatella Versace and niece of the late Gianni Versace. According to news reports, Versace is being treated for anorexia.
“Our daughter, Allegra, has been battling anorexia, a very serious disease, for many years,” Donatella Versace and Allegra’s father, estranged husband Paul Beck, said in a statement released to the media earlier this week.
The statement went on to say that Versace is receiving medical care and is responding well.
