It’s a stock-up savings event. There are several Safeway promotions going on right now. Make a list for the best deal, and don’t forget any of them. Get out your local flyer, or visit Safeway.com and put in your zip code to see the specials in your area.
Tomorrow (the 14th) starts the first day of the SECOND set of Surf’s Up Movie Cash. The offer is good through July 4th. This deal is available two per household, with the first one ending today. In a nutshell, purchase ten dairy items to qualify. See the blog earlier this week for full details.
Buy Two Pepsi Fridgemates (12-packs) and get two free – plus get a case of Refreshe water. Ends 6/19. We’re not big soda drinkers, but $2.75 x 2 means that for $5.50 we get 48 sodas and a case of water. For that price, I’ll stockpile them for Boy Scout functions.
The big deal of the week, though, is the PepsiCo / Gift Card Mall promotion. I don’t know whether you’ve noticed or not, but every Safeway I’ve been to lately now has a huge endcap full of giftcards to dozen of different stores and attractions. This promotion is to highlight that new feature. “The gift that gives Dad a choice.” Not a bad idea. Before you get TOO excited, note that it’s limit one per card. Here’s the details: Simply purchase ten participating PepsiCo products to receive a Catalina (those cash register coupon things) valid for a free $25 gift card. You can’t buy a Safeway gift card, gas card, or a couple of others, but most all of them are places you spend money anyway. I’m getting Kohl’s card since I’m off Friday to buy $100 worth of Docker’s at Kohl’s for the hotel room giveaway.
Participating items include the Pepsi family of sodas, Aquafina, Lay’s, Tostitos, and Dorito’s (all currently on sale).
There are a couple of ways to make this a super duper deal. You’ll need to look and see which participating items you use, but here are some examples:
- Buy (10) fridge packs for $27.50, receive an additional (10) packs for free + (5) cases of water. Get $25 gift card.
- Buy (12) Tostitos for $30, receive a $10 coupon on your next order and a $25 gift card.
Some shoppers are reporting that there are Buy two, Get a Free Dip coupons near their Tostitos. I wasn’t that lucky, but check the aisle! I did find a rebate form. Buy two Tostitos and two Tostitos dips and get $8 back.
